A native New Yorker, Mary transplanted to Silicon Valley to work at Apple after having founded a successful education software division for an independent publishing company.
Since then, she's worked as a brand and marketing executive for Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, and mid-sized firms. During the course of her 30+ year career, she's added more than $200M per year to firms’ bottom lines.
Her experience gives her a unique perspective — she takes lessons learned and adapts them to a company's size and its resources. "There's always a way to scale up, or down, successfully," says Mary. "Experimentation and continuous learning is the key to staying ahead of the competition, no matter what industry you're in."
When she's not pouring over the branding research and latest analytics reports, you'll find her out on the bluffs and beaches of Santa Cruz and Big Sur wrestling with the wind for her painting easel, or cooking up a storm on rainy days.
Alisa consults with OverGo Studio to design and implement social media and content strategies. You can find her marketing blog and agency site at alisameredith.com. We also call on Alisa to make sure social media is performing for our clients - bringing in traffic, leads, and customers. Event coming up? Need to make connections to build authority? Alisa will make it happen.
Since 1999 she's worked with small businesses to develop websites, create social media and content strategy, while supervising a team of community managers, writers, editors, and programmers.
Despite her introversion, Alisa has enjoyed being featured in podcasts and Google+ Hangouts on Air - once appearing in a beard (we think it was very becoming). Her favorite topic? Pinterest and its traffic and lead-generation potential. In fact, she was featured as Social Media Examiner’s Pinterest Promoted Pins expert on the 2015 Social Media Success Summit.
When not planning or pumping out content and engaging on social networks, Alisa can be found body surfing at Wrightsville Beach, preparing for her next race, or being walked by her dogs Pepe and Spike.
