Insanity Workout: A Social Media Marketing Success Story

If you don’t know what insanity is, it’s a 60-day workout dvd that will whip your behind into shape. It makes you angry and yell back at the instructor like a crazy person but yet still wake up every day and pop that dvd in. I have been doing insanity for one month, two weeks, and one day. I have a love/hate relationship with Sean T. and his silly workout antics.
So as crazy as Insanity may be, they have done an amazing job at having other people market them with social media marketing.
If you go on Facebook, I guarantee at least 5 of your friends are telling everyone that may or may not care that they have started this workout. In fact, some who have done it have probably posted before and after pictures. This is called creating buzz through word of mouth marketing. Everyone loves the product so much that they want to share it with their friends, that’s a pretty strong product.
There is no buyer’s remorse. Have you bought something and then canceled the order immediately, returned it, or stuffed it in a closet and never wore/used it ever again? Well this is one product that will not give you buyer’s remorse. I posted about it on Facebook when I first started it and got probably 15 comments from people with words of encouragement and love for the product. Is that not perfect feedback to make you feel confident about buying a product?
Insanity is for lack of a better word, insane but their social media marketing is not. The influx of amazing feedback from those who have purchased and used the product make the infomercials almost unnecessary.
